Aside from the horrors of World War II, a love story comes to a conclusion. Hitler found love and companionship with Iongtime girlfriend Eva Braun. She was completely devoted to him until the very end. Eva was willing to lose her life for his love; and thus, committed suicide for Hitler's cause. Devoted to him forever, she closed a letter in 1944 with, "From our first meeting I swore to follow you anywhere--even unto death--! live only for your love."
Eva Braun was born on February 6th, 1912 at 12:30A.M. in Munich, Germany. As the daughter of a schoolteacher, Eva had an easy childhood and education. She was of Middle Class Catholic background, and met Adolf Hitler through a friend, Heinrich Hoffmann, at his photography studio. She described Hitler as, "a gentleman of a certain age with a funny moustache and carrying a big felt hat."
Reading cheap novels, exercise, and cinematography were some of Eva's favorite past-times. She was also obsessive about her appearance; as a blonde, slender, athletic young lady, Hitler was automatically attracted to her. Consequently, he persistently kept her under supervision of his Nazi Party. Although he loved her, he was very controlling and never wanted a secularly known relationship; Eva acted as though she was his hostess at parties and never was politically involved in anything. Obviously, she did not know about most of what happened. Eva knew that if Hitler "And if he declared tomorrow that the sun moves round the earth and not the other way round, the whole of Germany would believe if at once." He was mightier than God." Also, she said, "Better that ten thousand others die than he be lost to Germany," to her friends.
