Simon Cowell’s Car Collection Now Features Bugatti Veyron

According to Contactmusic.com, “British music mogul SIMON COWELL is making the most of his hard-earned cash, by spending a chunk of his fortune on six luxury vehicles.”

“I've got lots of nice cars... six,” Cowell says.  “It's completely over the top! I absolutely love them. I could have 100 cars and I'd still want more. I love staring at them. I love driving them too.  I've got two Rolls-Royce Phantoms, a Range Rover, a Jaguar XKR, an Aston Martin DB9 convertible and a very hot Mini Cooper which I drive more than anything else.”

Cowell’s car collection is the envy of auto enthusiasts, but the shrewdest among them know that it doesn’t require a “simply dreadful” outlay of cash to get into the driver’s seat of the world’s elite cars.

The newest trend, exotic car sharing club, would likely earn accolades from the toughest of Idol’s three judges. By joining an exotic car sharing club such as DFW Elite Auto Club in Dallas, TX, members get the keys to an elite garage of more than 25 cars for a flat monthly fee.

The Bugatti Veyron has the fastest acceleration and deceleration of any road-legal car in the world.  The base price for this incredibly fast car is $1,440,800, but it can hardly be called fuel-efficient.  City driving gets about 7 miles per gallon, and highway driving gets about 10.  At top speeds, the car gets only 2.1 miles per gallon, which means that it would empty its 26.4 gallon fuel tank in a matter of 12 minutes.
